  2. 1 can (400 ml) full-fat coconut milk
  3. 1 cup brown sugar
  4. Pinch of salt
  5. ½ cup sweetened coconut flakes (optional)

Instructions

  • Rinse the glutinous rice under cold water until clear; soak for 4 hours or overnight.
  • Steam the soaked rice in cheesecloth for 30 minutes until fully cooked.
  • In a pot over medium heat, combine coconut milk, brown sugar, and salt; stir until dissolved.
  • In a bowl, mix the cooked rice with the coconut mixture until evenly coated.
  • Transfer to a greased baking dish and flatten; bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30–35 minutes.
