Description

Beef Noodle Casserole is a comforting, hearty dish filled with tender ground beef, egg noodles, and a rich, creamy sauce. This easy-to-make casserole is baked to perfection, making it the perfect meal for the whole family to enjoy.

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 1 lb ground beef
  2. 1 small onion, diced
  3. 2 cloves garlic, minced
  4. 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  5. 1 can (10.5 oz) beef broth
  6. 3 cups egg noodles, cooked
  7. 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  8. 1 tsp dried thyme
  9. Salt and pepper, to taste
  10. 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart, until browned (about 6-8 minutes). Drain excess fat.
  • Add the diced onion and garlic to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  • Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked egg noodles with the beef mixture. Stir in ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch casserole dish and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For a crispy top, broil the casserole for 2-3 minutes after baking.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like peas or carrots for extra nutrition.
