Description

These Blonde Orange Brownies are a delightful twist on the classic blonde brownie. Infused with fresh orange zest and juice, they offer a zesty, citrusy flavor with a rich, buttery texture. The perfect treat for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  2. 1 ½ cups brown sugar
  3. 2 large eggs
  4. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  5. 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
  6. 1 tablespoon orange zest
  7. 2 cups all-purpose flour
  8. ½ teaspoon baking powder
  9. ¼ teaspoon salt
  10. ½ cup white chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Add the eggs, vanilla, orange juice, and orange zest, and mix until combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in the white chocolate chips, if using.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For a more intense orange flavor, add an extra teaspoon of orange zest.
  • You can omit the white chocolate chips for a more citrus-forward flavor or use dark chocolate chips for a contrast.
