Description

A comforting and indulgent dish, Cheesy Potatoes are loaded with creamy cheese, perfectly baked to golden perfection. This crowd-pleasing side dish is ideal for any meal and will surely have everyone asking for seconds.

 


Ingredients

  1. 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
  2. 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  3. 1/2 cup sour cream
  4. 1/4 cup milk
  5. 2 tbsp butter
  6. Salt and pepper to taste
  7. 1/4 cup green onions, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Boil the cubed potatoes in salted water until tender (about 10-12 minutes).
  • Drain the potatoes and mash them with butter, sour cream, milk, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir in 1 1/2 cups of cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Transfer the mashed potatoes into a greased baking dish, top with remaining cheese, and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions, if desired.

Notes

  • You can add extra cheese or bacon for an even more indulgent dish.
  • Make sure to mash the potatoes well for a creamy texture.
