Description

This cheesy taco dip is a crowd-pleaser, loaded with seasoned ground beef, creamy cheese, and zesty taco flavors. Perfect for game nights, potlucks, or any gathering where deliciousness is a must!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional, for garnish)
  • Tortilla chips or veggie sticks for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess grease. Add the taco seasoning and mix well.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Reduce heat to low and stir in the diced tomatoes, cream cheese, and sour cream until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add Cheese: Mix in 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and blended.
  4. Bake: Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 10-15 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
  5. Serve: Garnish with chopped green onions and serve warm with tortilla chips or veggie sticks.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add diced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce.
  • Make ahead by preparing the dip up to the baking step, then refrigerate. Bake when ready to serve.
  • Leftovers can be reheated in the microwave or oven.
