Description

This simple yet flavorful Chicken with Cream of Chicken Soup is a cozy and comforting dish that requires minimal effort. Tender chicken is cooked in a rich, creamy soup base, creating a delicious and satisfying meal perfect for busy days.

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  2. 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  3. ½ cup chicken broth or water
  4. 1 tsp garlic powder
  5. 1 tsp onion powder
  6. Salt and pepper to taste
  7. 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
  8. Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet or pan over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the chicken breasts to the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add the cream of chicken soup and chicken broth (or water). Stir to combine and heat the mixture over medium heat.
  • Return the chicken breasts to the pan, coating them with the creamy soup mixture. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes, until the chicken is tender and fully coated in the creamy sauce.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or vegetables.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add some sautéed onions or mushrooms to the soup mixture.
  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, reduce the chicken broth amount or cook the mixture longer to thicken.
