- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups chocolate chunks
1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, beating until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chunks.
- Drop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the center is still soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For extra chewiness, don’t overbake the cookies.

- You can substitute chocolate chips for the chocolate chunks if desired.
