These buttery chocolate chunk cookies are rich, soft, and bursting with decadent chocolate chunks in every bite. Perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth, they’re easy to make and a hit with everyone. A delightful treat that’s crispy on the edges and chewy in the center!

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  2. 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  3. 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  4. 2 large eggs
  5. 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  6. 1 tsp baking soda
  7. 1/2 tsp salt
  8. 2 cups chocolate chunks

1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract, beating until combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Stir in the chocolate chunks.
  • Drop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the center is still soft.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For extra chewiness, don’t overbake the cookies.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
  • You can substitute chocolate chips for the chocolate chunks if desired.
