Description

Sweet, golden bananas with a rich caramelized exterior, made in minutes for a perfect dessert or topping. This simple treat is buttery, slightly caramelized, and full of rich flavor. Enjoy it on its own or as a topping for pancakes, ice cream, or French toast!

 


Ingredients

  1. 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  2. 2 tbsp butter
  3. 2 tbsp brown sugar
  4. 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
  5. Pinch of salt
  6. 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the sliced bananas to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until golden and slightly softened.
  • Sprinkle the brown sugar over the bananas and let it melt, stirring gently to coat the bananas in the caramel.
  • Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens and becomes a rich caramel color.
  • Stir in cinnamon, salt, and vanilla extract (if using), then remove from heat.
  • Serve warm, drizzled with extra caramel sauce if desired.

Notes

  • For an extra indulgent treat, top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
  • You can also add a splash of rum or bourbon to the pan for a boozy twist!
