- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder

- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- ¼ cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chopped strawberries and chocolate chips, if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let cool completely before cutting into squares.

- For an extra burst of strawberry flavor, swirl some strawberry jam or puree into the batter before baking.
