Ingredients

  1. 4 large apples (peeled and sliced)
  2. 1/2 cup brown sugar
  3. 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  4. 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  5. 1 tbsp lemon juice
  6. 1/2 cup rolled oats
  7. 1/2 cup flour
  8. 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  9. 1/4 cup butter (cubed)
  10. 1/4 cup maple syrup

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  • In a bowl, toss the apple slices with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Spread evenly in the baking dish.
  • In another bowl, combine oats, flour, chopped pecans, and cubed butter. Mix until crumbly.
  • Sprinkle the oat mixture over the apples.
  • Drizzle maple syrup on top.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the apples are tender and the topping is golden.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for added richness.
  • You can swap the pecans for walnuts if preferred.
  • For extra crunch, add more pecans to the topping.
