Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream Butter and Sugars: In a mixing bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add Wet Ingredients: Mix in the egg, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract until combined.
  4. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in Mix-Ins: Gently fold in chocolate chips and crushed peppermint candies.
  6. Form Cookies: Scoop dough into 1.5-inch balls and place them 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
