Description
Lemon Chicken is a light and zesty dish that features tender chicken breasts coated in a bright and flavorful lemon sauce. It’s quick to prepare, refreshing, and perfect for a weeknight dinner or special occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 lemon, juiced and zested
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp honey (optional)
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken breasts for 6-7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in lemon juice, zest, chicken broth, honey (if using), and thyme. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-5 minutes, allowing the sauce to reduce slightly.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and coat with the lemon sauce. Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
