Description

Lemon Chicken is a light and zesty dish that features tender chicken breasts coated in a bright and flavorful lemon sauce. It’s quick to prepare, refreshing, and perfect for a weeknight dinner or special occasion.

 


Ingredients

  1. 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  2. 2 tbsp olive oil
  3. 2 garlic cloves, minced
  4. 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  5. 1 cup chicken broth
  6. 1 tbsp honey (optional)
  7. 1 tsp dried thyme
  8. Salt and pepper, to taste
  9. Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken breasts for 6-7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Stir in lemon juice, zest, chicken broth, honey (if using), and thyme. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-5 minutes, allowing the sauce to reduce slightly.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet and coat with the lemon sauce. Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra richness, add a splash of cream to the sauce.
  • Serve with rice, vegetables, or a side salad for a complete meal.
