Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 tbsp red food coloring
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips or cream cheese swirls (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
  2. Make Batter: In a bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs, vanilla extract, and red food coloring. Mix until well combined.
  3. Add Dry Ingredients: Sift in cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Stir gently until the batter is smooth and glossy. Fold in white chocolate chips or swirl cream cheese on top if desired.
  4. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
