This Taco Pasta is a fun, flavorful twist on two classic dishes! Combining the savory goodness of tacos with pasta, it’s a hearty, quick, and delicious meal that the whole family will love. With a perfect blend of spices, ground beef, and cheesy goodness, it’s an easy weeknight dinner option.

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 8 oz elbow macaroni (or pasta of choice)
  2. 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
  3. 1 packet taco seasoning
  4. 1 cup salsa
  5. 1 cup sour cream
  6. 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  7. 1/2 cup chopped green onions (optional)
  8. 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes (optional)
  9. 1/4 cup chopped cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  • Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  • Add the taco seasoning and salsa to the skillet, and cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  • Stir in the sour cream and cooked pasta, mixing until everything is well combined and creamy.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and let it melt, then serve.
  • Garnish with green onions, tomatoes, and cilantro if desired.

Notes

  • For added heat, use spicy salsa or add some diced jalapeños.
  • You can substitute the ground beef with ground chicken or beef for a lighter option.
  • For a vegetarian version, swap the meat for black beans or a plant-based protein.
