Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1 large egg
- 3 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat a griddle or pan over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or cooking spray.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Mix wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. The batter should be slightly lumpy.
- Cook the pancakes: Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot griddle for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- For extra fluff, don’t overmix the batter; it’s okay if it’s a bit lumpy.
- You can keep pancakes warm in the oven at 200°F (93°C) while you finish cooking the rest.
