Scale
- 1 lb boneless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- ½ cup cornstarch
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 tbsp rice vinegar

- 2–3 green onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Coat the chicken pieces in cornstarch, ensuring they’re fully covered.

- In the same pan, add garlic and ginger. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, hoisin sauce, chili garlic sauce, and sesame oil in a bowl. Pour the sauce into the pan and bring to a simmer.
- Add the fried chicken back to the pan and toss until evenly coated in the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot with rice.
Notes
- Adjust the level of heat by increasing or decreasing the chili garlic sauce.
- For a lighter version, you can bake the chicken instead of frying it.
