Description

Enjoy a fruity twist on the classic Italian dessert with this Strawberry Tiramisu. Layers of sweetened mascarpone cream, fresh strawberries, and coffee-soaked ladyfingers make for a delightful, refreshing dessert that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 1 lb fresh strawberries, sliced
  2. 1 cup strong brewed coffee (cooled)
  3. 1 tbsp rum or coffee liqueur (optional)
  4. 1 package ladyfingers (about 24)
  5. 1 1/2 cups mascarpone cheese
  6. 1 cup heavy cream
  7. 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  8. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  9. 2 tbsp cocoa powder (for dusting)

Instructions

  • Wash and slice the strawberries. Set aside about 1/4 of the strawberries for decoration.
  • In a shallow dish, combine the brewed coffee and rum or coffee liqueur (if using). Quickly dip the ladyfingers into the coffee mixture, being careful not to soak them too much.
  • In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  • Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese to the whipped cream, creating a smooth and creamy mixture.
  • In a serving dish, layer the dipped ladyfingers at the bottom. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, followed by a layer of sliced strawberries.
  • Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers, mascarpone cream, and strawberries.
  • Finish by dusting the top with cocoa powder and garnishing with the reserved strawberries.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, you can substitute Greek yogurt for half of the mascarpone cheese.
  • Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more or less powdered sugar to the mascarpone mixture.
  • You can prepare this dessert a day in advance for best results.
