- ½ cup crushed candy canes
- ¼ cup extra crushed candy canes (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla extract, and beat until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in white chocolate chips and ½ cup of crushed candy canes.
- Scoop dough into tablespoon-sized balls and place on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are set.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Once cooled, sprinkle the remaining crushed candy canes over the top of the cookies.
Notes
For a festive twist, drizzle melted white chocolate over the cookies before adding the candy cane topping. Store in an airtight container to keep the cookies fresh.
